The Diocesan Mission and Evangelism Group
Enabling people to share Jesus Christ
in the local community

| 1 |
To support and work with the Diocesan Missioner |
| 2 |
To assist in promoting mission and evangelism across the Diocese at every level |
|
| To have as the Group's aims for the next 3 years: |
| 1 |
To work with the School of Formation to train individuals and local mission teams and to advise and mentor those doing local evangelism |
| 2 |
To identify those with specific missional gifts, and encourage, train and enable |
| 3 |
To work collaboratively with the School of Formation in developing the vision for the missional leadership needed for 'Changing Churches'/Changing Communities |
| 4 |
To attempt to work collaboratively with the other C f M groups in their mission aims |
| 5 |
To stimulate missional thinking by generating action, research, reading and exploration in mission and evangelism amongst all Christians. |
| 6 |
To support churches in the unfolding 'Changing Lives' programme |
| 7 |
To review the missional edge of 'Changing Lives' on at least an annual basis, and promote good practice |

Working in accordance with the Five Marks of Mission:
- To proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God
- To teach, baptize and nurture new believers
- To respond to human needs by loving service
- To seek to transform the unjust structure of society
- To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth
