The diocesan Renewal Group

Aims and Objectives of the Group:
	The Diocesan Renewal Group, as part of the Diocesan Mission Forum, has the task of encouraging all believers to fulfil their mission in the power of the Holy Spirit.
	We are mindful that when Jesus announced his mission in the synagogue at Nazareth he began by saying, "the Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor."
	In the same way we recognize that without the Spirit we cannot fulfil the missionary mandate we have been given.
	The Renewal Group seeks to encourage all believers, and especially leaders, to be equipped with the Holy Spirit's power and gifts and to actively seek his direction and guidance.
	We also long to see the fruit of the Spirit in the life of the church. In this way we expect to see the Spirit change individual lives and the church so as to impact the communities which they serve.
