The Parish Resources Group
and its Staff
The Parish Resources Adviser is Mrs Lesley Strutt, who started in January. Lesley's role is primarily working with parishes which ask for her advice about how to finance their work in their churches, including the need to encourage generous giving and promote Gift Aid, and the need to balance maintenance of the building with reaching out in mission to the local community. She also gives advice on funding for large capital projects. Please feel free to get in touch - contact details below.

The Parish Resources Group's role is to work with parishes, for example in any of the following kinds of situations
- A PCC reviewing giving in the light of their current or expected financial situation
- A Standing Committee thinking about a major (capital) appeal for a specific project
- A home-group or study series about stewardship
- A Sunday service with a theme of giving, commitment, time and talents or the Christian use of money
BUT note that one-off sermons or addresses may not be very effective unless tied into an ongoing programme of thinking about God's gifts to us and how we use them!
