A WELCOMING CHURCH
This course will improve the warmth of welcome provided by a church. It is designed for a team of people from a church who have been commissioned by the PCC to lead the improvement of the welcome afforded to visitors and newcomers. The course covers:
- Biblical teaching on welcoming
- Reasons people and churches are unwelcoming
- Factors people use to judge the quality of welcome
- Starting conversations with visitors and newcomers
- An audit of the welcome of the church and developing an action plan
The course uses Bible study and group discussion and involves one session of two hours.
