bath & wells: school of formation
courses
Incorporating a global perspective into worship (or half the world is starving, let’s sing another hymn)
This course offers practical suggestions and resources for helping congregations engage with global poverty and justice issues. It is aimed primarily at those who lead services and preach, but all aspects of church life will be covered including house groups, social events and the church magazine. In the course we will:
- Explore the theological basis for being concerned about a world of poverty
- Consider the opportunities and resources available to express this concern in our corporate church life – both in our services and communities.
This single session course lasts 2 hours and will consist of reflection, bible study, power-point presentation and discussion. There will be a good selection of priced and free resources available as well as hand-outs on where to find further resources.
