Seasonal Prayers - Summer
A Prayer Walk
During the long summer holidays there might be an opportunity to go out and observe the countryside or the town around us.
Go on a few walks. During the first walk tell the children to concentrate on what they can hear; on the second walk, what they can smell, on the third what they can feel, on the fourth what they can see. Make a note of their observations, or ask the children to draw what they see and write a few words.
When you are back in your meeting place, sit in a circle, name your observations in turn, after each saying ….
