Diocesan Stewardship Adviser combined with
Priest in Charge of the United Benefice of
St Lawrence, Westbury-sub-Mendip, St Laurence, Priddy
and St Paul, Easton
Fulltime – 50% share between each role
Can you combine the skills to lead and grow a rural benefice on the ancient Mendip hills and spearhead Stewardship support and advice across the Diocese?
Living in the vicarage in Westbury-sub-Mendip, through your vision and enthusiasm you will continue to put the three churches in this benefice at the centre of their rural communities. You will enjoy the support of a committed team of readers and wardens to deliver worship in a variety of settings and styles and engage with the schools and groups within the villages. There is a Benefice Office with an Administrator in the Easton Vestry.
While working for the Diocese you will have the support of a PA, based in nearby Wells, and a team of Honorary Stewardship Advisers. As a team you will help and advise Church members across our diocese realise and develop the resources and talent they have to support ministry and mission. The majority of your time in the Stewardship role will be spent in direct contact with people in the parishes, while any administration will be shared between visiting Wells and working from your own parish study.

VICAR
Highbridge is a Somerset town with a growing population, currently around 7,500. Close to the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea and only 20 minutes from the Mendip Hills and Cheddar.
We are looking for a leader with vision who:
Is comfortable with a moderate catholic tradition and also modern worship patterns. Has a willingness to develop a common vision for mission, youth and children’s work. Has an appreciation for the role of music in ministry. Will help to take forward our lay ministry in extending pastoral care to the whole community. Has an outgoing personality, with a good sense of humour and will be a lively and visible presence within the wider community. VERGER – Part-time (25 hours)
Bath Abbey is planning to recruit an effective, active and reliable person to join the team of vergers in the ordering, security, cleaning and management of this large and influential Abbey church set in the heart of Bath.
The Abbey attracts very large numbers of visitors and hosts many services and other events.

Diocese of Bath and Wells Guild of All Souls
Priest in Charge
St Peter and St Paul, Bleadon and St Andrew Bournville (LEP)
Two ‘single church’ parishes, one at the western edge of the Mendips, the other a couple of miles away in the town of Weston super Mare. Bleadon has a rural feel; Bournville is much more urban. Both churches want to grow and are looking for a priest who will enable them to deepen faith and reach out to their communities.
This is an exciting new post and the person appointed will be responsible for leading the churches into a new, shared future. Good preaching and pastoral skills, a willingness to work in partnership with the Reader (based in Bleadon), Methodist Minister and Church Army Officer (both part time at Bournville), and appreciation of a variety of traditions and contexts for ministry will all be needed.
The Rectory is situated in Bleadon. The Healthy Living Centre in which St Andrew’s is located provides an excellent work base.

Wells Archdeaconry Warden
Being an Archdeaconry Warden is a fruitful and satisfying act of service. In Bath and Wells, the work of Wardens is undertaken by priests to help encourage strong links between the laity and the clergy.
Whilst Archdeaconry Wardens do work with incumbents and other clergy, the role is truly diaconal, serving our Readers and promoting and encouraging Readership around the Archdeaconry and Diocese
