Local Mission

The passion of our diocese is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ afresh to every generation. This is our calling as God's people. We are sent by a God of love to make a difference to His world.
Our Work
We work with individuals, parishes, beneficies and deaneries to inspire, train and equip the whole people of God in this mission. We seek to resource local mission through a number of projects and initiatives, partnering with other national agencies and organisations. One specific aim is to work with other Christian denominations wherever possible in ecumenical mission.

Creative Mission
Rona Orme of Peterborough Diocese has developed ideas than can include adults and children and open the church doors to people who have only occasional contact. The ideas fit around the church calendar but also take in secular high points of the year. Full details are available here.
