The Diocesan Liturgical Advisory Group (DLAG) is here to help with encouraging and supporting worship of the highest quality, transforming worship across Bath and Wells.
We’re a mix of clergy and laity involved in different ministries, with a wide range of experience. We all have a heart for liturgy and worship, though we wouldn’t describe ourselves as experts – there is always something to learn. We simply aim to share inspiration and ideas with the many experienced worship leaders we have in Bath and Wells.
Our starting point is your need. It may be that you have a simple query and seek advice. It may be that you want to ask some questions about the way you worship in your benefice. There might be a policy decision to be made in a particular aspect of liturgy or you may want to discuss training needs. We can help with all of these.
Examples might include:
- Worship audits
- Ideas for presenting Baptism liturgy
- Advice on children & communion
- Ideas for seasonal worship
- Presenting alternative forms of worship
- Getting the best out of the calendar & lectionary
- Resourcing intercessors
- Music and singing
- Technology in worship
- All-age worship
The message is, anything you might need support with, just ask!
