An Inspiring Day

The Inspire Day on 21 September held at the Old Deanery, designed primarily for those that work with children and young people in parishes, had a great turnout with over thirty visitors to the event!

Many enjoyed the enameling workshop, making a variety of items including butterflies, swallows, crosses and doves. Some even booked the equipment from local company Infinite so that they could try the craft with their groups. There was lots of interest in the beautiful olive wood items fromĀ Holy Land Gifts like the beautiful hearts, crosses and Nativity sets, that are ideal for schools, churches or as special gifts.

The resource booklets were popular with several new titles available on the day. Prayer inspiration came from stations that were set up and a presentation packed with ideas. Also the Resource Centre was on hand to help with any requests and signed up at least six new members.

Keen to hear of the next eventĀ and loaded with bags full of useful freebies, all left happy after an enjoyable morning that proved useful for their work with children and young people.

The next Inspire Day is planned for 01 March 2017 and will be all about planning and running holiday and after school clubs!
