We are seeking a co-opted member to join the Board’s Investments Committee to help ensure that its endowment is managed effectively and in line with the Diocesan strategy. The Committee oversees an investment portfolio exceeding £40m. It meets 4 to 6 times per year, normally in Wells.
Interested applicants should be members of a parish in the Diocese and have experience of investment asset management, whether from working for an investment management house or from the oversight of large asset funds. They will need an understanding of ethical and responsible investment. Regulated investment advice is provided by managing agents and committee members are not expected to give investment advice as regulated by the FCA.
The role is on a voluntary pro bono basis with relevant expenses paid.
