Celebrating a creative Christmas

St Andrew’s Church, Bournville were so encouraged by the response to an informal community project that produced last year’s Christmas nativity display, they have decided to share their story by Christmas card.

Their card displays a picture of The Bournville Crib 2016 which was made at St Andrew’s Church Bournville in the week before Christmas 2016 by a group of children and adults drawn from the local community. Each of the cardboard cutout figures were decorated with something connected with their role. The shepherd was decorated with newspaper because they heard the good news from the angels, the wise people with maps because they undertook a long journey, the donkey  with pictures from car and train magazines because it was the engine while Mary was decorated with wrapping paper because she held God’s gift, his Son!

The A6 cards are being sold in packs of five for £2.50 in aid of St Andrew’s Church, Bournville, Weston-Super-Mare. If you would like to order any cards please email Brenda at St Andrew’s.
