Revd Mike Haslam joined the diocese as Chaplaincy Development Adviser in September 2017 with a brief to explore all the opportunities for Chaplaincy within the diocese. This has been a hugely positive experience for Mike, and all those that he has met in the last year.
“It’s been an exciting year for school chaplaincy… We have new chaplains and new chaplaincies in an ever growing number of schools, or we are currently developing chaplaincy projects with them. Church and community schools, nurseries, primary, middle and secondary Schools, FE colleges and universities are all seeking chaplains; someone to listen, care, pray and help, someone to offer pastoral and spiritual care to everyone,” says Mike.
