On Saturday 6 October the diocese celebrated Reader ministry at the annual Readers’ Day and gave thanks for the 300+ Readers who serve in our diocese.
Readers first gathered for study and reflection at Wells Blue School where speaker, Revd Tina Hodgett, Evangelism and Pioneer Team leader spoke about Birthing the Future Church.
Later, in a special service of licencing and re-dedication at Wells Cathedral two new Readers, Sue McKen and Richard Wheller were licensed by the Bishop of Bath and Wells and four Readers were welcomed to Bath and Wells from other dioceses.
