Join us for Aligning Resources for Mission regional conversations in July
This summer, the diocese is hosting a series of regional conversations to explore with parishes and deaneries work on its second strategic priority: Aligning Resources for Mission. Register now using the booking form below.
The focus is a number of interconnected work streams: developing enhanced parish support; identifying medium-term resourcing priorities; establishing principles for the deployment of clergy and laity; addressing issues around the ongoing use of our buildings; and reviewing our Common Fund model, as part of a wider review of the diocesan budget.
Representatives from every parish are invited to attend the sessions. The events will be an opportunity to hear about progress and future plans on the key work streams and also to ask questions and offer insight, prior to some key decisions later in the year.
“We’re working to put things in place that will enable missional activity to be prioritised in every parish, every deanery, every archdeaconry and across diocesan support services,” says Ven Dr Adrian Youings, Archdeacon of Bath.
“There’s a lot going on and we want to share that with parishes and deaneries, as well as gain valuable insight on our ‘direction of travel’. The events are a space for both sharing and for listening,” adds Adrian.
Up to three representatives from each parish (including no more than one clergy person) are invited to attend one of the six regional gatherings in July. Use the form below to register. If you can’t make a session in your archdeaconry, you are are welcome to travel to one of the other venues.
