Welcoming new team members for Safeguarding

We welcome Susanne, Sam and Andy who are the newest members of the Bath and Wells Safeguarding Team.

Susanne Disney is our new Safeguarding Trainer. She takes over from Vicky Christophers. Susanne, a former police sergeant with the Devon and Cornwall Police Force, spent 18 years working in criminal justice and terrorism roles and was a force Training Officer for eight years. Susanne along with volunteer trainers from across the diocese will provide a range of training courses in safeguarding.

Andy Duncan joins us as a Safeguarding Adviser. Andy was formerly a Detective with the Avon and Somerset Police Force for 18 years. During his time with Avon and Somerset Police Andy spent time working in public protection and major crime.

Sam Gunning is our new Safeguarding Administration Assistant. Before joining us Sam worked for 16 years in care and support at Astor, a Wells based Housing Association.

Sam, Susanne and Andy join Glenys Armstrong Diocesan Safeguarding Manager and Helen Humphreys who is Assistant Safeguarding Adviser.
