Latest livestreamed service and reflection

This week The Ven Adrian Youings, Archdeacon of Bath is livestreaming a mid-week Eucharist and palace pastor, the Revd Rosey Lunn offers a pre-recorded reflection which can be shared by congregations.

Mid-week Eucharist – Wednesday, 12 August

Archdeacon Adrian will host a mid-week Eucharist on Wednesday at 10.30am via our Facebook page.

If you don’t want to watch via Facebook you can watch it directly from the home page of the diocesan website.

The liturgy for the service is available to download below.

Reflection – for Sunday, 16 August

The pre-recorded video reflection is particularly intended for those congregations whose own church is in vacancy or is not able to offer live-streaming.

Please note, it is uploaded onto this page early in the week to allow those churches who wish to integrate it into their Sunday service to be able to plan ahead. It will also be shared via Facebook and Twitter on Sundays.

How to use the Sunday reflection

The reflection is shared well in advance of Sunday in order to allow time for people to plan how best to use it. This can be done in a range of ways, including:

  • If you are conducting a service via Zoom, the host can share their screen and play the video on their screen. Find out how you can share your screen in Zoom
  • Alternatively, ahead of your service you can share the video and/or transcript, which you can download below, and use it as part of your break out group discussions.

If you have had success using the reflection in a different way, please let the communications team know so we can share it. Or share it on our new Bath and Wells Digital Communications Facebook Group.
