Education Team launch FREE online CPD for this autumn term

The Education Team would, in normal circumstances, be preparing to welcome staff and governors from our family of church schools and multi academy trusts to the diocesan office for Continued Professional Development (CPD) days on a variety of topics. As this is not possible at the moment as an alternative, the team are delighted to offer CPD online free of charge this term.

The CPD will take two forms;

  •  A series of webinars on a range of topics to support both teaching and leadership staff and governors which you can book on the events section of the event calendar.
  • A series of online training videos giving a short introduction to popular topics and accompanying resources which can be accessed here

In his welcome in the Diocese of Bath & Wells Education Department CPD brochure Autumn 2020, Ed Gregory, Diocesan Director of Education says this;

To help you start well in September we are offering you our core training and development for the Autumn Term 2020 as a gift from your diocese.  To achieve this all of our core training and development will be accessible, online, and it will be free to school users, Multi Academy Trusts (MATs) and maintained schools too.  There will, hopefully, be other CPD opportunities too such as conferences and bespoke training which can be arranged directly through our teams here. We do need to hear what you want and expect from us so we can consistently deliver to you relevant, high quality support. However, the autumn term shapes up let us start well together and stay safe. Let us support one another as we continue to learn.  Let us encourage each other as we face challenges and enjoy successes, in the confidence that we do not walk alone, we are together. We are family and, in our family, we care for one another.  I look forward, along with all of the great team here at Wells, to meeting you at our training and development events throughout the term.

The team look forward to welcoming you and engaging with you on a range of topics this term. Any queries, please contact Jan Chandler
