Local schools take part in the biggest festive carol and nativity event in the South West

South West Carols has been set up in response to the unusual year we’ve all experienced. Its aim is to bring people together from across the region to take part in and watch ‘a festive online production featuring home grown talent and headline acts.’ To celebrate with the biggest festive carols and nativity event in the South West. The event will be livestreamed on the South West Carols website, Facebook and YouTube on 5th and 6th December at 7pm.

Schools from across the diocese of Bath and Wells are taking part; Saltford CofE Primary and St Nicholas CofE Primary have recorded videos as part of The Big Nativity and Children involved in South West Youth Ministry (SWYM) from St Mary’s CofE Primary in Bridgwater, Whitstone and St Paul’s CofE Junior School in Shepton Mallet, St Aldhelm’s CofE Primary in Doulting and Evercreech CofE Primary are also contributing.

Alongside local schools the Shepherds from Watchet and the Go Team Angels have sent in their photos for the ‘Strike a Pose’ feature, so look out for some familiar faces on that!

You can find all the details about the event, including the programme and information about the acts taking part, on the South West Carols website.  You can also download publicity information to help spread the word. Below you can download some ideas for children’s activities put together by our colleagues in Exeter Diocese.
