In October we hosted a series of consultation events about the future of the Bath & Wells – Zambia Link. We had a strong turnout and all the feedback received has been of tremendous value.
‘Opportunity, outreach, spiritual growth, warmth, enriched, diversity, faith, friendships, personal impact, regular sacrificial giving, prayer, inspiring, resources shared and humility’ were just some of the responses people used to illustrate their positive link experiences.
Many shared how their lives had been changed after witnessing their Zambian friends as generous hosts amid poverty, and how they made great efforts to get to church and found pure joy in worship.
The evening also gave us an opportunity to hear about the struggles and concerns experienced by companion link parishes as well as receive suggestions as to how we might tackle the most significant issues.
We would like to invite you to come along to the second part of these consultation events. In these follow-on sessions, we will feedback the planned future actions based on the suggestions received in October.
Together we hope we can look forward to a fruitful future for our Zambia Link; a future where many from our diocese can experience the great blessings our companion link has to offer. It is clear the link has been, and continues to be, a gateway to the wider Anglican Church.
Please do come and be a part of the future of the Bath & Wells – Zambia link. Please register for one of the events by completing the registration form below.
