Led by the Paul Johns
COVID-19 has made its home among us. For how long? We don’t know. With what consequences? We’re still discovering. What and how do we preach in these times? The word to be preached is the gospel of Jesus, but it needs to be preached in context. COVID-19 is a big context. This seminar is an opportunity to look at some biblical texts and themes in the context of COVID-19,to exchange insights and so enrich each other’s preaching.
Paul Johns is a Methodist local/lay preacher. He has Masters’ Degrees in history and theology, and a particular interest in preaching which addresses contemporary issues. Formerly Director of the College of Preachers, and a contributor to Radio 4’s ‘Thought for the Day’, he has a background in management consultancy, political campaigning and charity work.
