Zambia Sunday at Nether Stowey

The service was held in St. Mary’s Church Centre and was very well received by those attending which included two ladies from Zambia. The ladies were particularly interested with the Diocese of Bath and Wells Zambia film which stirred many fond memories of home for them.
The service included the talk from Bishop Ruth and the Zambia Film but additionally included contributions from our three schools in Quantock Villages Benefice. We had spectacular drumming, singing and dancing, poetry and displays of crafts and artwork – all depicting school and community life in Zambia.
We are very much hoping that we can re-kindle former links and were reminded of one previous link which involved the planting of a fruit tree in the Nether Stowey Millenium garden a few years ago.
