Pupils have donated toys and attached messages of support following an appeal from a pupil whose family is from Ukraine.
As the Ukraine crisis continues, the education team has pulled together some useful links and resources to help explain the situation to children.
Responding to the 'need for young people to receive the love of God in a practical way'.

Tony Blackshaw, who has been Chair of the Diocesan Board of Education for the last three years, is stepping down today (8 June 2021). He will be replaced by Tracey Khodabandehloo, who recently retired from school leadership after 25 years as a head teacher in church schools.
Since 1883, students at the Kings of Wessex Academy in Cheddar have been ascending the church tower at St. Andrew's church on ascension day, to look out over the magnificent views and mark their moving on from the school to pastures new. Unfortunately for the second year in a row, they have been unable to due to Covid. Despite this however the tradition continued this year in virtual form.
