Each year, we hold special Moving Up Celebrations for Year 4 and Year 6 pupils as they transition from primary to middle or secondary school. These services, held across the diocese, mark an important step in each child’s educational journey.
Organised by the Go Team and clergy, the celebrations are designed to remind students that God is with them as they move forward. During each service, schools process with their banners, and pupils leave with a candle to take back to their schools—a symbol of God’s light and guidance on their journey ahead.
Application details will be sent directly to your School office and Headteacher during the Autumn term.
Moving Up Celebrations Dates will be sent out in the Autumn term and booking will be available from January 2026.
