Life to the Max and Little Max

Life to the Max

Life to the Max is an outdoor activities based weekend for vicars’ children aged 11 to 17. It has been running for nearly 17 years and takes place every September at St George’s House, a not-for-profit Christian outdoor centre catering for groups of young people from youth clubs, schools, church groups and youth organisations in north Devon. It is with sadness that we have to announce that the Life to the Max weekend for clergy children has been postponed for the weekend of 18-20 September 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

This decision has been made because Life to the Max uniquely brings young people together from across Bath & Wells and Bristol dioceses, and with the uncertainty of mixing ‘bubbles’, transport arrangements and following government guidance for residential activities, it seems near impossible to go ahead without putting people at further risk.

This is a really difficult decision for us and for the young people because Life to the Max means so much to many clergy households. However, we plan to offer an online gathering on the evening of Saturday 19 September (more details to follow), and we plan to rebook for September 2021.

Please pray for all at St Georges House Outdoor Activity Centre in these uncertain times, that God will sustain them and keep them all safe.

We pray for, and look forward to an even bigger and better Life to the Max in 2021.

Little Max

Little Max is a day trip to Crealy Adventure Park near Exeter, for clergy children aged 7 – 11yrs. Both events provide a fantastic opportunity for children and young people from clergy families to get away, relax, meet others in similar situations to themselves and have lots of fun. Read about the LittleMax 2018 trip.

The next dates for a Little Max day trip for will now be in 2021 and are yet to be confirmed.
