Lambeth 2022

In July and August 2022, bishops from around the world will be gathering in Canterbury for the The Lambeth Conference. The Lambeth Conference is a hugely significant event in the life of the Anglican Church. It brings together all active bishops and their spouses from across the worldwide Anglican Communion – that’s more than 165 countries.

With the theme of ‘God’s Church for God’s World - walking, listening and witnessing together,’ the conference will explore what it means for the Anglican Communion to be responsive to the needs of a 21st Century world.

The journey to the conference starts during 2021, where there will be opportunities for prayer, dialogue and reflection, involving the conference community – and wider Anglican World.

The Big Hello

The Big Hello is the hospitality programme for the Lambeth Conference, celebrating Anglican Communion companion links.

The Big Hello is a large hospitality programme that will see dioceses and churches in England, Wales and Scotland hosting guests for up to a week in advance of the event and the Diocese of Bath and Wells will be taking part. More details about the plans for the visit and the involvement of people across the diocese will be available later in the year.
