This is an exciting opportunity to join a charity doing Christian-based community work in Taunton. Taunton Team Chaplaincy are looking for a volunteer fund-raiser to write grant applications and build its local donations. Through this work you will be benefitting vulnerable and needy people.
The Chaplaincy has been operating for 15 years and through 30 volunteer chaplains, offers emotional, spiritual and practical support to people in care homes, courts, at the railway station, in open spaces, retail and an office.
We subscribe to a national database of grant opportunities. The hours would vary between 2 and 4 hours per week. Experience shows that 3-4 applications per year may be needed. Your main contacts will be with the Lead Chaplain, Treasurer, Administrator and Chair of Trustees.
This role would suit someone who is someone who is able to write well, comfortable with figures, methodical, able to do some research and with sound IT skills. You will have access to good-news stories about the impact of our chaplains’ work.
