This session will give you an introduction to being an RE subject leader. We will be looking at:

• The role of the subject leader
• Why we teach RE - its aims and purposes
• What we teach - our syllabus and planning, and supporting colleagues
• How we teach - creative ideas and resources including ‘Understanding Christianity’
• The impact of RE – assessment and evidence, monitoring and supporting
• Who will be checking? What are SIAMS and Ofsted looking for?
• Learn Teach Lead RE
