Parish Safeguarding Officer Forum - Thursday 5th June

These forums are a chance for Parish Safeguarding Officers within the Diocese of Bath and Wells to network with others, share good practice and ask the safeguarding team any questions. Forums take place online via Zoom and begin at 1 pm. You do not have to attend the entire session once you have signed up.

We have adjusted the way we deliver these forums to highlight specific topics within safeguarding. The main focus of this forum will be:

DBS Eligibility and Q & A with our Safeguarding Coordinator - Jake Lent

DBS eligibility can be an extensive and confusing topic at times and this forum will explore:

• The different levels of DBS check
• What is classed as 'Working with children/vulnerable adults'
• What is 'Regulated Activity'
• Available resources

There will be opportunities to ask any questions about the DBS process as well as a general Q & A towards the end of the session.
