'Ecumenism now – blood, sweat and tears…'

Date and Time :
2nd March 2023 - 7:30pm

Churches Together in Somerset warmly invites you to its 2023 Forum Public Lecture.

Bishop Paul Bayes will be reflecting on some aspects of ecumenism today. Among other things he’ll be talking about martyrdom, committees, and a malfunctioning ballpoint pen, all as expressions of God’s will and guidance. Come along to find out more!

In 2022 Paul Bayes retired as Anglican Bishop of Liverpool, a role he had held for eight years. Before that he ministered as suffragan Bishop of Hertford in the Diocese of St Albans, as the Church of England’s National Mission and Evangelism Adviser, and in a number of parish and chaplaincy roles since his ordination in 1979. He trained for ministry at the ecumenical Queen’s College Birmingham, and is presently serving there as Chair of Governors of the Queen’s Foundation. Bishop Paul lives in Bath and is an Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Bath and Wells.
