Join us for our School Leaders and Parish Partners Conference on ‘Spiritual Leadership‘ with guest speakers Dr Margaret James and Paul Rusby.

Dr Margaret James is the first National Director of SIAMS for the Church of England with a genuine passion for successful Church schools. She is an experienced leader within Church of England education and has worked in school, local authority, diocesan and national education leadership roles for approximately 20 years. Margaret has been pivotal in creating the new SIAMS framework and will be exploring spiritual leadership in the context of our Church schools, fully aware that School Leaders reflect a wide range of spiritual and faith perspectives.

Paul Rusby has worked in schools for over thirty years, twenty of which he has spent as headteacher of three different Church of England schools. He has supported schools in his role as a National Leader of Education, Primary Consultant Leader and School Improvement Partner. He is passionate about Church of England schools and the impact that they can have on the flourishing and wellbeing of pupils and adults. Paul has a deep interest in spirituality. Blending together his theological training, SIAMS experience and leadership roles in schools, Paul provides school improvement coaching and consultancy support. He leads retreats and Christian meditation sessions using poetry, music and the landscape to support people’s spiritual growth.

We would highly recommend School Leaders bring their Parish Partner, Foundation Governor and/or SIAMS Lead to get the most out of the conference. .

An invitation and an outline of the conference will be sent in the Autumn 2023 term.
