Time: 19:30 - 21:00

Talking Jesus - courageous natural faith sharing short-course

Now everyone can learn how to be a natural faith sharer in daily life and online, bringing the hope of Jesus to friends and family.

Talking Jesus is a great way to help you to learn how to become a natural faith sharer.

Even in the current times, faith sharing is alive and vibrant.  We have a hope and a story of hope which the world is longing for.  Churches are growing.  It starts with each one of us always being prepared with an answer to everyone who asks for the reason for the hope that we have.  (1 Peter 3 verse 15). But it can be a challenge knowing what to say, how to say it.  And anyway, what would people think of you?

Here's the great news... people (your friends) think you're great!  More people want to know than you realise.  We are the right people, right place, right time.

You'll discover over 6 weeks:

  • the motivation which will help you become eager to share your faith.
  • 3 simple things to know that will give you more courage to share your faith.
  • What to say 😄

Videos and chat.  Plus, lots of enthusiasm, and lots of laughter.

If you would like to engage in the Talking Jesus course face to face, Andy will be running this in the Ham Hill benefice. There is no requirement to live in the benefice to attend this course, why not bring a group from your church or benefice? In this instance, please contact Annie Gurner to register. or telephone 01935 881202.

Who leads the course?

Andy Gray (our faith sharing enabler for the diocese) and Morey Andrews (Mission Enabler for Sedgemoor Deanery).   Andy and Morey have been leading these groups for the last 2 years. They both are experienced faith sharers and love encouraging others.

What is the commitment?

There are six sessions. Each one lasting around 90 minutes. We suggest missing at the most 2 sessions to get the best out of the course.

The dates are:

Wednesday 8, 15, 22, 29 September and Wednesday 6 and 13 October, a prompt 7.30pm start and finishing at approximately 9pm.

Who can come?

Anyone!  Any age.  You don't have to come alone: invite your church, your youth group, your benefice or even the whole Deanery.

How many people have done the course?

Hundreds of people have been part of talking Jesus across the diocese. We have many stories of people who have done the course and then been more confident in their faith sharing.

Where does Talking Jesus come from?

The materials are from  where you can watch the introductory video. The course is supported by the Church of England, as well as other mainstream Christian denominations.

(for copyright reasons, numbers are limited. So booking is essential)

Where do I get the materials from?

We will send you out anything you need before the sessions. There are also some booklets that are available from the website. We find that people do value having the books in their hands, but it is unnecessary to join in. They cost £1 each plus postage.

Watch this video where Andy talks to Morey Andrews about the course held earlier this year.
