Celebrating Difference and Finding Hope
A Gathering for Christian Chaplains in Somerset
Join chaplains from across the region for a day of story-sharing, spiritual reflection, and practical workshops.
Together, we’ll explore what it means to bring hope and healing across difference — whether cultural, theological, or personal.
What to expect:
Real-life stories from the frontlines of chaplaincy
- 10 engaging workshops on inclusion, reconciliation, interfaith work, mental health and more
- Space for prayer, scripture, and encouragement
- A delicious lunch and great company
Richard Kelley, Chaplaincy Adviser, who is running the event says, "There will be lots for people to get their teeth into during the day, but also time for people to make connections and be inspired. It will be a day led by chaplains, for chaplains, but others who have an interest in chaplaincy will also get something from the day – including curates, clergy and anyone who’s interested in chaplaincy.”
“There will be three key speakers at the gathering, all of whom are chaplains in our diocese. They are Ewen Huffman and team (Hinkley Point), Anne Fulton (St Margaret’s Hospice), and Katy Garner (Bath Spa University). We also have a great collection of eight different workshops for people to get their teeth into.”
