Bringing a Christian dimension to Glastonbury Festival

19th June 2023

Glastonbury Church Tent

The Church will be well represented at Glastonbury this year. The Church Tent returns and you may also see Revd David McGeoch, St John's Glastonbury, on his rounds around the site as Chaplain as well as Revd Diana Greenfield, Pioneer Chaplain.

If you drop in at the church tent there will be a team of 25 people who'll be there to welcome you. Or head for “The Coracle” which is a small Christian presence in the Healing Fields. Catch up with all they're doing throughout the festival on Facebook and Twitter.

David and other representatives from his church community could be heard on Radio 4 on Sunday when the Sunday Worship came from St John's. As well as worship, they talked about their different roles at the Festival and how they reach out to festival goers of all faiths and none, helping bring a Christian dimension to England’s most famous pop festival. Listen again to Sunday Worship on BBC Sounds.
