The PCC of All Saints and St Saviour, Weston-Super-Mare, recently enjoyed a session with Deanery and Parish Development Adviser, Claire Horton, as part of their Lent exploration Growing Good.
On Shrove Tuesday St Paul's Kewstoke, celebrated the 10 year anniversary of their coffee morning with pancakes and prosecco. And in Peasedown the women's coffee morning also marked over a decade of support for women in their community.
Set up as a simple way of offering connection, the Winter Warmer Lunches offer care, and support to people in their community during the colder months. Since autumn 2012, the lunches have provided not just a warm meal, but also a space for conversation, and companionship.
The community of St Catherine’s Church, Montacute, has been told by experts that it may be home to one of the oldest working timepieces in the country, follow a recent assessment that dates its clock back to the 1400s. Originally believed to have been made in the 1600s, around the time of the Reformation, the clock’s historical significance was uncovered during a restoration assessment in 2024.
