Churches enjoy outdoor Harvest

5th October 2022

Churches across Bath and Wells have been celebrating Harvest, and many have taken advantage of the good weather and continued the outdoor celebrations they first introduced during the Covid pandemic.

The Revd Richard and the Revd Mandy Priestley led an outdoor Harvest festival at Binegar Fair Field, Holy Trinity Church, sitting on bales made from the hay harvest earlier in the year, alongside the new community orchard. An oak tree was planted during the service after which everyone enjoyed live music from a local folk group and brass band and a barbeque with hot spiced apple juice.

The Benefice of the All Saints celebrated harvest in a real hay-filled barn on a working farm, with the Revd Kevin Wright who asked the congregation to "praise God for the abundance of his goodness to us."
