In November 2022, Lucy Moore, head of the Church of England’s Growing Faith Foundation, visited Bath and Wells to share the vision of the Growing Faith Foundation. Lucy spoke about the importance of placing children, young people and families at the heart of the ministry and mission of the church.
Inspired by the evening’s talk, and ongoing conversations, the Go Team produced a series of cards, based on the questions Lucy was asking. The cards are designed to help PCCs, deaneries and individuals think about their ministry and mission, and ways in which they can put children, young people and families at the centre of it.
Go Team Adviser, Ruth Slade explained “Together with the Deanery and Parish Support team, we created a set of cards based around the parts of a body. The cards use the image of the Church as the body of Christ, to help the Church review their principles and practises in order to celebrate what they are already doing, and open up conversations to explore how children, young people and families are included and valued in their church community.”
