Remembrance Sunday

11th November 2021

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

we will remember them.

We will remember them.

O God of truth and justice,

we hold before you those people who have died in active service.

As we honour their courage and cherish their memory,

may we put our faith in your future;

for you are the source of life, peace and hope,

now and forever.

Amen.

Parishes throughout Bath and Wells will be holding special services this weekend  for Remembrance Sunday as we remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life. This year the Royal British Legion is marking 100 years since the nation’s collective Remembrance traditions were first brought together. Parades and services with the laying of wreaths at war memorials will be taking place across the diocese. You can also join the national online service from the Chruch of England
