Young people gather in Yeovil for a Movement Worship Night

8th November 2023

On Sunday 5 November, young people, together with church leaders from Yeovil and the surrounding area, gathered at Holy Trinity Church, Yeovil for an evening of worship and fellowship.

After toasting marshmallows around the firepit and drinking hot chocolate, everyone came together inside for a worship evening, hosted by Movement, in partnership with local churches.

Young adults from churches in the Yeovil area led sung worship, before Ruth Glendinning, a youth worker at St James and St Peter’s Church, shared a poignant testimony of how God has been with her throughout her life. At the end of the evening there was an opportunity to chat and pray together.

Rev Dan Crouch, Vicar at the host church, Holy Trinity said, “Movement in Yeovil this month was a time of fellowship around the campfire, worship with integrity and a powerful, vulnerable and authentic message from local youth worker Ruth Glendinning. There is little that inspires me more for the future of the church of Jesus Christ - and the church in my own locality - than worshipping alongside young people.”

Movement host worship nights for young people and young adults in locations around the diocese each term. To find out more about other Movement Worship Nights visit the Movement website. The final Movement for this half term is at Locking Castle Church, Weston-super-Mare.
