A steeplejack climbs to the top of St Thomas's Church in Wells to see the damage caused after the top of the spire came off during high winds.
St. Peter and St. Paul's Church Muchelney, near Langport on the Somerset Levels, has moved one step closer towards its plans to become a community hub after receiving a £12,500 grant from South Somerset District Council.
Thousands are raised by the church community to pay for the repair and restoration of the bells and bell tower
"It's not been without its setbacks, but every time we've had a setback God's hand has been on it, he has been watching over us."
Although churches in the UK are closed at the current time, St Michael's Without in Bath has permission to open its doors following a call for help from their community.
