Ascension Day ascent with a difference

Since 1883, students at the Kings of Wessex Academy in Cheddar have been ascending the church tower at St. Andrew's church on ascension day, to look out over the magnificent views and mark their moving on from the school to pastures new. Unfortunately for the second year in a row, they have been unable to due to Covid. Despite this however the tradition continued this year in virtual form.


Young people get planting for community project

Fishing for donations to maintain church

St Andrew's Taunton brighten up lockdown

Members of St Andrew's Church congregation, together with Rowbarton Methodist Church members, have formed a yarnbombing group and have been using time in lockdown to knit and crochet bright shapes to give the people of the area a smile and to let them know they are in their thoughts as they pass the church hall.


Sunshine and deckchairs – Sunday service in the church grounds

The parishioners at St Matthew's in Wookey have been unable to celebrate together in person since lockdown began, but on Sunday, in glorious sunshine, they brought their own chairs, safely socially distanced, and enjoyed a service outside in the church grounds.


Angels of Hope

The Angels of Hope installations have been put up outside St. Johns church in Wellington and across the surrounding area to remind people of the hope we have in Christ.


Timsbury Angel Trail brings cheer and hope

Over the weekend of 12th and 13th of December a dazzling array of 51 angels appeared around the village in gardens, on drives and on a roof.
