All are invited to say farewell to Archdeacon Anne at Wells Cathedral Evensong at 15:00 on Sunday, 10 May.
The Racial Justice in Trouble Times event was held jointly with Racial Equality North Somerset (RENS) at Emmanuel Chruch in Weston super Mare.
A unique exhibition featuring candid photographs of church members has been designed and created by Bath and Wells, Young Adult Representative to General Synod
During Holy Week, Bishop Michael stepped away from his usual daily work agenda to undertake a pilgrimage across Exmoor and the Quantocks.
"Jesus invites us to bring all that we are, all our history, all our background, all our hurts, all our triumphs, everything that makes us ‘us’ into relationship with him who loves you and knows us and died for us and rose for us into the new life that can be ours today and always. To make his story, our story."
Across our diocese we come together celebrate Easter and the shared joy of Christ's resurrection.
During Holy Week, Bishop Michael will be undertaking a pilgrimage walk through Exmoor and the Quantocks, calling in churches along the way.

On Sunday 25 January, Bishop Michael joined a packed congregation at St Michael and All Angels church in Flax Bourton, to celebrate their fantastic achievement in being the first church in our diocese to be awarded the A Rocha Gold Eco Church Award.
The Energy Footprint Tool (EFT) is now open for submissions. Completing the EFT is part of our shared journey to net zero and supports the Church’s fifth mark of mission, to care for creation.
Anne Gell, Archdeacon of Wells, is to step down from her roles in Bath and Wells in May this year.
Bishop Michael invites us all to join in the Diocese of Bath and Wells Year of Prayer in 2026.
The parish church of St Nicholas, Kittisford, has received the Choral Evensong Trust Patronal Festival of the Year Award for 2025.
"The invitation today is to do just as did Mary, Joseph and the shepherds. It’s to meet with Jesus."
For this year's Christmas message Bishop Michael visited St Peter's Community Centre in Yeovil.
Last week Bath and Wells was represented at two national events aimed at shining a light on social action and advocacy. The events brought together church leaders, politicians and practitioners.
