Work out your church’s carbon footprint to help care for God’s creation

Around 300 people enjoyed the Christmas Carol Service in Wheddon Cross, which brought members of the farming community, the local churches and many more together to celebrate Christmas.
Four farms around the diocese hosted 'Journey to Bethlehem', an interactive retelling of the Christmas story for younger children. In each location churches worked with farmers to welcome school groups onto the farm, to bring the story of Jesus’ birth to life.
The Minster was one of just 15 places chosen to be part of the Together at Christmas services which reflected the carol service hosted by The Princess of Wales in Westminster Abbey.

Diocesan Synod took place on Saturday (16 November), with nearly half of the members newly appointed and attending for the first time. Bishop Michael welcomed all the new members in his presidential address, before addressing the recent Makin Report and resignation of Archbishop Justin.
The debate in Parliament is limited to only five hours. Bishop Michael asks 'Is this really an appropriate amount of scrutiny for legislation which could fundamentally transform our relationship with death? We risk sleepwalking into an enormous change.'
